About community acupuncture
What is Community Acupuncture?
Community Acupuncture is a worldwide movement of clinics that make acupuncture treatment affordable and remove the barrier of cost from healing. These clinics offer acupuncture treatment in a group setting. By seeing mulitple people at the same time instead of one patient per hour, costs can be kept low. Fees for treatment are on a sliding scale, no proof of income is required.
Clinics must meet certain guidelines to be a part of The People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA). Harvard Square Community Acupunture is a POCA member clinic.
